When I first enter the game, I keep pressing arrow to make the chapter walk through the door, and wondering that is it? Later on, I found narrative stories begins. Player can interact objects in the room by clicking or hovering. Each object are connected with some words and thoughts behind. Players are free to explore objects in the room and can leave whenever they feels enough. At some point, I got stuck in one page and could not get to the next step, it confused me a lot since I have already clicked all the hyperlinks. Then I have to click the small question mark on the top right of the web page and found that I should resize the browser to discover hidden things.
That is a really big discovery! After I resize my browser, I discover the shining object hidden before, and that object is the path to next scene. Designer really have a good usage of HTML and CSS to make this interaction more fun! Although some scenes look similar,but the interaction is different somehow. For example, the vase in last scene is clickable while in next scene is not clickable.
The whole visual of this game is very unique and nostalgia. With pixelated visions of landscapes, I felt myself was playing an arcade game 20 years ago. The use of ASCII art adds more mysterious and stylish visual design for this game.
