Enough  is an incredibly poetic game to me! If I get it correctly, the game tells a story about love, friendship, finding meanings about living and what is the most important thing to this game designer. I remembered there is a scene when all Mani's friends disappeared, it makes me thought of unnoticeable separation between our friends and families in real life, and even death. Also, at the latter in the game, I found Mani's tail become longer  and the color of Mani starts responding to the sound, which is a sign of growing up. We got friends that companies us, parents that leads us when we were little, but they may disappear after we grow up. These are my thoughts after playing this game which might not be universal to everyone.

Action Theory of this game

Beliefs: As a player. when I first open this page, there has some instruction on it ,showing how this game plays and how long it will takes and the preparation before the game starts. These information gave me an idea of what I will be experiencing and set up a mindset- it is a game about sound and text.

Reaction: Given these beliefs, I read the visual and text story, enjoy the sound, discover the interaction. The interaction in the game is obvious though not pointing out. When players move their mouse, they will figure out the character Mani is following the mouse, and also the text will be departed when encounter mouse. Also, given by the previous information, I saw a logo in the bottom corner so I knew that it is clickable and will lead me to next page.

Desire: I would like to play around the text, enjoy the sound, capture the beautiful scene, and continue reading.

Intention: I planed to move my mouse towards the text, and make screenshoot of the scene that I really like, I will go to next page and continue reading.

Action: Move my mouse toward the text, press screenshoot key on my computer to capture the beautiful scene, click on the logo and go to next page.

Repeat: Repeating the process until I'm bored or to the end.

 

The layers of player experience

Sensory (the surface): For me, when I first saw this game, I was attracted by its dynamic visual attributes- it gave me a feeling of underwater. The whole world is 3D, and each page is connected by camera moving back and forth or just moving around. These is an obvious frame out there to help players concentrate on the content inside of it. The visual is corresponding to the sound. It is a wonderful interactive storytelling game to explore with poetic aesthetic. 

Information (the skeleton):My mouse become a particle point which fits the aesthetic of this game. There is several lines of text in each page. The main character of this game is a blue shinning creature named Marni.

Interaction (the structure): The blue creature will move towards my mouse . Some of the background elements are clickable- when hovering on the circle, it plays fireworks.

Frame (the scope): The whole game is mainly based on text, and in each page there will be different text and the camera view will change, the logo in the corner is the key to next page.

Purpose (the strategy): Exploring what the designer whats  to tell and the visual and audio elements.
